We Need your Help Again, CCPS BOE looking to Ban more books
We need your help again. The BOE is looking to remove two more books from schools. This time at the request of the Family Life Committee. Donna Sivigny serves on that committee and was absent from the last BOE meeting. They voted to wait until July's meeting to vote on these books. There is no reason these should be removed from schools. Steve Whisler has decided that anything other that what he considers "normal" is wrong. Tara Battaglia, Dr. Pat Dorsey, and the Student Rep Chloe Kang all support these books. The vote comes down to Marsha Herbert and Donna Sivigny. The BOE only received 39 total emails before the last meeting, 36 supporting the books and 3 against. We can do better, we need to do better. Please take a few minutes and write an email supporting the "Family Book" and "The Big Book of Families." Show Steve Whisler that we are not a minority in this county.
