Banned Together - Now Showing
Mark your calendars: On Wednesday, October 23, Move Carroll Forward and McDaniel College will host a private, pre-release screening of Banned Together: the Fight Against Censorship.
This inspiring documentary follows three young women during their senior year of high school as they fight hostile community members and school board officials to reinstate banned books. It illuminates the radical political forces vying for control of public education and the nationwide resistance to their efforts.
Following the 90-minute screening, we will be joined by a panel of librarians and other experts to discuss what is happening in Carroll County and Maryland.
