Maryland Health Curriculum under attack by Mom’s for liberty

We understand we’ve been asking a lot from you over the past few weeks, and we appreciate your unwavering dedication. We have an urgent task that requires your immediate attention.

A member of Moms for Liberty and the Family Life Committee, Shannon Hinkhause, is initiating a write-in campaign aimed at convincing the State School Superintendent to review and potentially remove concepts of gender identity and sexual orientation from the current Health Curriculum Framework. This framework, adopted in 2019, aims to educate the 860,000 children in Maryland public schools about these important topics.

We urgently need your support to counteract this effort. Please write a brief email expressing your support for the current framework and highlighting that CCPS offers its own optional Health Curriculum, which only 23% of students opted into—a clear indication that the majority supports the existing framework. It is imperative that we urgently stand against these extremists that make up a minority of our county.
